To continue always changing flexibly

Our company makes wire mesh for 80 years, at ‘city of wire mesh,’ Matsubara City.
With very thin 16μ stainless wire like a spider’s thread, used for filters, we’re proud of our high technique in ever gracefully evolving DNAs in technology at highest rank.

Our city had been struggling with Yamato River flooding every year, in Edo period. Our ancestors since then, did not abandon the city, and challenged a big project to build the river bank and succeeded it. Though they built the river bank, because of buried sands, they could not cultivate rice. Then, they started to grow cottons instead of rice. Not only growing cottons, they spun its threads and weaved Kouchi cottons. There started to be famous nationwide for Kouchi cotton. When Ansei Pre-Treaty was conducted, at the end of Edo period, cheaper threads and fabrics started to be imported a lot from overseas. After a big shock for Kouchi cotton manufacturers, they restructured weaving machines to enable those to weave wire nets. And then, they settled to be the largest production center of wire nets.

Overcoming flooding by fixing the river, converting rice cultivation problem to Kouchi cottons, opposing imports of fabrics from overseas, converting cotton to wire net productions, these companies have been kept renovated and evolved. We hope to inherit this flexibility to next generations, not only high productivity.

Design Mesh

The company’s spirit to ‘flexible evolution’ is also inherited to design mesh.
When an architecture designer visited to our company 40 years ago, he praised, “Wow, these are pretty. If we make them into partition, it will be interesting!” and brought various types of those wire nets to adopt, bit by bit. Afterward, during a bubble economy era, around end of 1980′s, mineral materials were welcomed, and our wire nets were fully used as architectural materials.

So, following this concept as ‘As particular action and way of thinking go beyond a certain level, it influences the same trade without contacts’ brought out its growth among our business world. Since year 2000, though there is a different type in Germany, England, and France, the wire nets started to be much more adopted as architectural materials, and we were awarded for the 42th Award 2008, from the Regional Judge Award Program. Design mesh has become very popular among architects worldwide for its beauty and excellent functions.
